Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro Torpedo is the darkest and boldest expression of the Rare Leaf line, built from low-yield tobaccos grown on Aganorsa’s finest farms and finished with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. The box-pressed Torpedo is the only pressed vitola in the line, and its tapered head concentrates the smoke into a remarkably focused, intense experience.
Expect a full-bodied profile with dark chocolate, cayenne pepper, espresso, earth, and almonds, sweetened by the San Andrés leaf and closing on a long, peppery finish that intensifies steadily as the cigar burns down.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Tatuaje Cojonu 2006 Belicosos
Opus X Oro Oscuro Reserva D’Chateau Tin
This box-pressed Torpedo measures 152mm with a 52 ring gauge, hand-rolled in Estelí with a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a double Nicaraguan binder drawn from Jalapa and Estelí, and Aganorsa-grown Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 long-fillers, delivering a dense, oily smoke and excellent construction. Presented in a pack of 5 cigars.
Ideal with an aged rum, a bourbon, or a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon — also pairs excellently with dark chocolate or a strong espresso to match its rich, spicy character.
