Davidoff Yamasá is the cigar that marked a milestone for Davidoff — the first ever to feature a wrapper leaf grown in the Dominican Republic. Master blender Hendrik “Henke” Kelner spent more than a decade experimenting with tobacco cultivation in the mineral-rich clay soils of the Yamasá region, long considered too difficult for premium wrapper tobacco, before producing a leaf dark enough and robust enough to carry the Davidoff name. The Robusto is the format that puts the full depth of that wrapper on display.
Expect a medium to full profile with earth, dark cocoa, and espresso at the core, joined by cedar, black pepper, roasted coffee and a touch of leather, all resolving into a long, deeply earthy finish.

This Robusto measures 127mm with a 54 ring gauge, hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic with a dark Dominican Yamasá wrapper over a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and long-fillers of Ecuadorian tobaccos alongside Dominican San Vicente, Piloto and a Dominican Hybrid leaf developed specifically for the Yamasá line. Presented in a box of 12 cigars.
Ideal with a bourbon, a dark coffee, or a smoky single malt — also pairs beautifully with a piece of 80% dark chocolate or a slow-cooked meat dish to complement its earthy, chocolatey character.
