La Diana Robusto — officially named “Biloria” — is the middle vitola in Eladio Diaz’s second regular-production line, and the size that carries the name of his mentor, Francisco “Panchito” Biloria Vencosme, the master who taught a seven-year-old Eladio the craft at the tiny Dominican factory called La Diana. Diaz calls this the strongest and most complex blend he has ever made, and the classic Robusto format shows it at its most expressive: everything the blend has to offer, presented at its most balanced pace.

Expect a full-bodied profile with cream, sweet spice, and cedar at the core, joined by roasted nuts, cocoa, and a distinctive Peruvian earthiness from the Pelo de Oro filler leaf, all resolving into a long, complex finish that builds steadily through to the nub.

This Robusto measures 127mm with a 52 ring gauge, hand-rolled at Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic with an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and a filler blend of Dominican Corojo, Criollo ’98, and Negrito alongside Peruvian Pelo de Oro. Presented in a box of 20 cigars.

Ideal with an aged rum, a bourbon, or a peated single malt — also pairs excellently with a rich espresso or a piece of dark chocolate to match its full, layered character.
