Cuaba
Cuaba cigars, established in 1996, were created to revive the classic figurado shape, which was popular in the early 20th century. Hand-rolled at the Romeo y Julieta factory in Havana using premium tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, Cuaba cigars are distinguished by their double figurado format. The brand’s name originates from the Taino word for a highly flammable bush used to light cigars. Cuaba cigars are celebrated for their unique shapes and complex construction, making them a testament to the skill of expert torcedores. Initially offered in smaller sizes, the brand expanded in 2003 to include larger vitolas, such as the Distinguidos and Salomón. Known for their medium to full strength, Cuaba cigars have earned a place among aficionados for their rich, traditional Cuban flavors and occasional special releases, including commemorative humidors and limited editions. Despite being a niche brand with limited production, Cuaba remains a symbol of Cuban cigar craftsmanship and heritage.
