Ramón Allones
Ramón Allones, established in 1837 by brothers Ramón and Antonio Allones, is one of the oldest and most innovative Cuban cigar brands. Known for its full-bodied, rich flavors, the brand has experienced numerous ownership changes and historical challenges, including the World Wars and the Cuban Revolution. Originally achieving significant popularity in the UK, Ramón Allones was purchased by the Partagás family in 1927, who moved its production to the famous Partagás factory, where it remains today. The brand is credited with pioneering the decorative cigar box and the use of branded labels and bands. Despite a decline in the mid-20th century, Ramón Allones has maintained its reputation for quality and luxury, with its cigars continuing to be highly sought after, especially through Regional Editions and special releases. The enduring legacy of Ramón Allones is marked by its innovative contributions to cigar packaging and its commitment to producing powerful, complex cigars with premium tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.
