Saint Luis Rey

Saint Luis Rey, a pre-revolution Cuban cigar brand, was officially registered in 1940 by Zamora y Guerra. Originally exclusive to the British market, it gained worldwide distribution in 1993. Its name, derived either from Thornton Wilder’s novel “The Bridge of San Luis Rey” or the town of San Luis in Vuelta Abajo, reflects its prestigious heritage. Known for its rich, spicy, and earthy flavors, Saint Luis Rey cigars are crafted with premium tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta regions. Despite a reduced catalog, the brand maintains a strong reputation among aficionados, often selected for regional editions. Produced at the Briones Montoto factory in Havana, these cigars continue to offer a unique and intense smoking experience.
