Tatuaje Cojonu 2003 is a bold, full-bodied Toro born from Pete Johnson’s vision of unfiltered Cuban-style power — a cigar whose name, Cuban slang for “ballsy,” tells you everything you need to know before the first draw.
Handcrafted in Miami by the legendary Garcia family at My Father Cigars, this Nicaraguan-leaning blend wears a warm, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and aged Nicaraguan long-fillers — a streamlined, traditionally rolled construction that pays tribute to the old-world Havana style Pete Johnson built the Tatuaje brand on.
The smoking experience opens with a peppery blast and rich earth, then settles into a complex midsection of cocoa, cedar, leather, coffee, oak, and toasted nuts — finishing with hints of dark chocolate, honey sweetness, anise, and a long, savory tobacco trail. The flavor evolves continuously, rewarding the patient smoker with constant shifts in depth and character.
This Toro vitola measures 6 1/2″ (165mm) with a 52 ring gauge, hand-rolled in classic Cuban tradition for approximately 75–90 minutes of bold, complex smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with single-barrel bourbon, dark espresso, aged rum, or a robust red wine — pairings that match the cigar’s peppery depth and honor its full-bodied, old-school Cuban character without overshadowing its evolving complexity.
