CAO Amazon Basin Daggers is a rare, story-driven Petit Corona — a compact, limited-edition expression of CAO’s most exotic blend, built around tobacco hand-harvested deep in the Amazon rainforest and shipped out by canoe.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua, this cigar is dressed in a dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, with a long-filler core anchored by the rare Brazilian Bragança leaf — grown wild in the Amazon, hand-picked, fermented for six months in carrote tubes — alongside aged Colombian and Dominican tobaccos that give the blend its medium-to-full body and exotic depth.
The smoking experience opens with earthy musk, dark cocoa, and a flash of black pepper, then evolves into layers of charred oak, cedar, leather, espresso, and a signature dark-fruit sweetness that hints at raisin and ripe black grape — finishing with toasted nuts, citrus zest, baking spice, and a creamy, lingering tobacco warmth. For a small format, the flavor concentration is remarkable.
This Petit Corona vitola measures 4″ (102mm) with a 38 ring gauge, hand-rolled for approximately 25–35 minutes of intensely flavored, exotic smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with single-origin coffee, mezcal, vintage rum, or a robust red ale — pairings that amplify its rainforest-born sweetness and earthy depth while honoring the cigar’s compact, concentrated character.
