All clear. The CAO American Monument is the Torpedo size (6 1/4″ × 54) of the CAO America line, with the iconic barber pole wrapper combining Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade, a Brazilian binder, and a four-country filler (Nicaraguan, Dominican, Italian, U.S.). Made in Honduras, medium-to-full bodied, with a creamy, cedar-and-cocoa profile.

This one leans a notch lighter than the Italia Gondola or MX2 — squarely medium-to-full with a creamy character — so I’ll match it accordingly. Rotating again: nothing repeated from any prior pair.

CAO American Monument Barber Pole is a striking visual statement and a polished, balanced smoke — a Torpedo wrapped in alternating light and dark tobacco that brings together four countries of leaf into one celebratory blend.

Handcrafted in Honduras, this cigar is dressed in the line’s signature barber pole wrapper combining Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade, laid over a Brazilian binder, with a long-filler core blending tobaccos from the United States, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Italy — a multinational composition that delivers a medium-to-full body with smooth, layered character.

The smoking experience opens with creamy cedar and a gentle dusting of black pepper, then builds into a rich middle of milk chocolate, toasted oak, roasted nuts, and a hint of savory roasted-meat depth — finishing with light coffee, natural tobacco sweetness, dried fruit, and a soft, lingering creaminess. The Torpedo head channels the smoke beautifully, sharpening the interplay between the two contrasting wrappers.

This Torpedo vitola measures 6 1/4″ (159mm) with a 54 ring gauge, hand-rolled for approximately 75–90 minutes of smooth, full-flavored smoking.

Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:

Ideal with bourbon, light rum, cappuccino, or a smooth amber ale — pairings that draw out its creamy cedar and chocolate notes while complementing the cigar’s polished, celebratory character without overpowering its balance.
