Eladio Diaz Before & After Toro — officially named “Pasión” — is the Toro of the first regular-production line from one of the cigar world’s most respected master blenders. After 35 years at Davidoff’s Dominican subsidiary Tabadom, where he oversaw production and was one of the principal architects of the company’s blends, Eladio Diaz left in 2021 to open his own factory, Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera in Santiago, with his family alongside him. Before & After is his personal story translated into a cigar: “before” the years as an employee, “after” the years of his own family carrying the legacy forward. The Toro is the size that lets the blend develop across a long, unhurried session.
Expect a medium to full profile with natural tobacco, cedar, and cream at the core, joined by earth, mushroom, mixed pepper, and a touch of cocoa, all resolving into a long, well-balanced finish that gains depth through the second half.

This Toro measures 152mm with a 52 ring gauge, hand-rolled at Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera in the Dominican Republic with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper over a Dominican Habano 2000 binder and a filler blend of Dominican Habano 2000, Piloto Cubano, Habano ’92, and Broadleaf. Presented in a box of 20 cigars.
Ideal with an aged rum, a bourbon, or a medium-bodied red wine — also pairs beautifully with a rich espresso or a piece of dark chocolate to bring out its earthy, cedary character.
