A curated pair that puts two of the most meaningful medium-to-full cigars from the modern premium world side by side — Fuente’s limited anniversary Robusto Extra from the trilogy Carlito blended to mark the family’s first century alongside Pete Johnson’s original private blend from Tatuaje’s black-banded series. Two very different Caribbean traditions, both deeply personal, both built for the serious evening smoker.
The pack contains five Arturo Fuente Destino al Siglo Amor, a medium-to-full Robusto Extra from the limited anniversary series Carlito Fuente Jr. blended to mark the Fuente family’s 100th year in 2012 — an Ecuadorian Sun Grown Habano wrapper over Dominican binder and long-fillers drawn from carefully aged reserves, delivering cedar, black pepper, dark cocoa, espresso, roasted nuts and a subtle sweetness. Alongside them, nine Tatuaje Black Gran Toro, a medium-to-full Nicaraguan puro from Pete Johnson’s original private blend, rolled at the García family’s My Father Cigars factory in Estelí — a Nicaraguan Sun Grown Criollo wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers, delivering cinnamon, oak, espresso, pepper, leather and a faint natural sweetness across a long, muscular finish.
Presented as a curated pack of 14 cigars — 5 Destino al Siglo Amor and 9 Black Gran Toro.
Ideal with a bourbon or an aged rum for both — the pack works equally well as a serious evening pairing or as a proper side-by-side of what Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos can each say when the family name is on the box.
