Plasencia Cosecha 149 Santa Fe Gordito (10) is a rich Honduran Gordito from the Cosecha 149 collection — a short, generous-format cigar that delivers depth, smoothness, and refined intensity in a bold 60-ring presentation.
Handcrafted in Honduras at Tabacos de Oriente, this cigar is Plasencia’s first all-Honduran puro, composed entirely of Honduran wrapper, binder, and filler tobaccos. The leaves come from the fertile regions of Olancho, the Jamastran Valley, and Talanga, and were harvested in 2014 for Plasencia’s 149th crop, giving the blend a deep, well-aged character with medium-to-full strength and a full-bodied profile.
The smoking experience opens with cream, dark chocolate, cedar, and roasted coffee, followed by notes of earth, cocoa, leather, toasted nuts, warm spice, and a subtle natural sweetness. As the cigar develops, the wide Gordito format gives the smoke a rounder, creamier texture, finishing with earthy cedar, dark cocoa, and a smooth Honduran richness.
This Santa Fe Gordito measures 4 7/8” (124mm) with a 60 ring gauge, offering approximately 50–70 minutes of rich, balanced smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
- CAO Amazon Basin
- Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto
Both suggested cigars are listed on your website and match the richer, darker, coffee-and-earth profile direction of the Plasencia Cosecha 149 Santa Fe Gordito.
Ideal with aged rum, espresso, smooth bourbon, or dark roast coffee — pairings that complement its creamy texture, dark chocolate depth, and earthy cedar finish without overpowering the profile.
