Tatuaje Gran Cojonu (12) is a commanding full-bodied Gordo from Tatuaje’s celebrated Cojonu family — a large-format, flavour-rich expression that delivers bold Habano character, dense structure, and classic boutique intensity.
Handcrafted in Miami by My Father Cigars, this cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Built as one of the most substantial expressions in the Tatuaje portfolio, the Gran Cojonu delivers a powerful smoking experience with deep flavour, generous smoke output, and the Cuban-inspired richness associated with Pete Johnson and Don Pepin Garcia’s collaboration.
The smoking experience opens with black pepper, earth, cedar, and roasted coffee, gradually developing into notes of leather, cocoa, dark chocolate, oak, toasted nuts, and subtle natural sweetness. As the large Gordo format progresses, the smoke becomes deeper and creamier, finishing with a long combination of peppery spice, earthy richness, cocoa depth, and lingering Nicaraguan warmth.
This Gran Cojonu Gordo measures 6 1/2” (165mm) with a 60 ring gauge, offering approximately 90–110 minutes of full-bodied smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with aged rum, peated Scotch whisky, bold espresso, or dark roast coffee — pairings that complement its peppery strength, earthy depth, and cocoa-rich finish without overpowering the profile.
