CAO Bones Chicken Foot is a playful yet serious-minded Robusto from CAO’s New Age line — a multinational blend dressed in dark, rustic Broadleaf, named after the dominoes game and built for unhurried, flavorful smoking sessions.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua at the STG Estelí factory, this cigar wears a four-year-aged Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Connecticut Shade binder, with a complex four-country filler combining Honduran tobaccos from Jamastran and La Entrada, Nicaraguan Estelí, and Dominican Piloto Cubano — a layered blend that delivers a medium-to-full body with measured intensity.
The smoke opens with cocoa, espresso, and a brisk hit of black pepper, then settles into a richer middle section of cedar, aged leather, toasted almonds, and earth — finishing with dark chocolate, a touch of dried cherry sweetness, baking spice, and a lingering cinnamon warmth. The Broadleaf wrapper provides a natural sweetness that balances the spicier core throughout.
This Robusto vitola measures 5″ (127mm) with a 54 ring gauge, hand-rolled for approximately 60–75 minutes of relaxed, full-flavored smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with bourbon, dark roast coffee, a robust stout, or añejo tequila — pairings that amplify its cocoa-and-cedar core and welcome the earthy sweetness without flattening the spice.
