Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf Regios is a dark, rich box-pressed Robusto — the celebrated Broadleaf reinterpretation of Pete Johnson’s classic Regios blend, dressed in oily Connecticut leaf and built for smokers who chase depth, sweetness, and old-world balance.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua at the Garcia family’s My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, this cigar wears a heavily fermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and aged Nicaraguan long-fillers — a refined construction that swaps the Brown Label’s Ecuadorian Habano for the broadleaf’s deeper, naturally sweet character, finished with a clean box press that concentrates every note.
The smoking experience opens with cocoa, cinnamon, and a measured pepper warmth, then evolves into a layered midsection of dark chocolate, earth, leather, oak, and espresso — finishing with hints of molasses sweetness, toasted nuts, baking spice, and a long, creamy tobacco trail. The Broadleaf wrapper carries a natural sweetness that frames the spicier Nicaraguan core throughout.
This box-pressed Robusto vitola measures 5 1/2″ (140mm) with a 50 ring gauge, hand-rolled for approximately 60–75 minutes of medium-to-full smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with bourbon, aged rum, dark espresso, or a Belgian dubbel — pairings that draw out the cigar’s cocoa-and-cinnamon sweetness and stand alongside its broadleaf depth without flattening the Nicaraguan spice.
