A curated pair bringing together two of the most refined Toro-format cigars in the modern premium market — the whisky-inflected Late Hour from Davidoff’s Black Band collection alongside Plasencia’s family-farmed Nicaraguan puro built around a decade-aged Colorado Claro wrapper. Both cigars are made for the same slow evening, but they arrive at that evening from very different tobacco traditions.
The pack contains four Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Toro, a medium to full Dominican-Nicaraguan blend under a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a Mexican San Andrés binder, with the Condega Viso filler aged for six months in single malt Scotch whisky casks — expect dark chocolate, espresso, oak, black pepper and a whisky-driven sweetness across a long, layered finish. Alongside them, five Plasencia Alma Fuerte Eduardo I, a soft box-pressed Nicaraguan puro from the family’s Colorado Claro line, wrapped in a 10-year-aged Jalapa leaf over Nicaraguan binder and filler grown on the Plasencia estates — a medium-bodied profile of almond, cedar, cocoa, nutmeg and gentle spice.
Presented as a curated pack of 9 cigars — 4 Late Hour Toro and 5 Alma Fuerte Eduardo I.
Ideal with a peated single malt for the Late Hour, and a fine cognac or a medium-bodied red wine for the Alma Fuerte — the pack works either as a vertical tasting or as a slow, unhurried evening in two acts.
