Tatuaje L’Atelier 56 (15) is a refined Nicaraguan Gran Toro from the L’Atelier collection — a generous, elegant expression that showcases Sancti Spíritus Ecuador wrapper tobacco with depth, smoothness, and boutique complexity.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua by My Father Cigars, this cigar features a Sancti Spíritus Ecuador wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Developed under Pete Johnson’s L’Atelier project, the LAT56 delivers a medium to medium-full bodied profile with excellent construction, rich smoke output, and a polished balance of sweetness, spice, and earthy depth.
The smoking experience opens with cocoa, cedar, leather, and soft spice, gradually developing into notes of cherry, roasted coffee, toasted nuts, earth, cream, oak, and subtle natural sweetness. As the larger Gran Toro format progresses, the smoke becomes cooler, rounder, and more layered, finishing with polished cedar, cocoa warmth, leather depth, and a delicate fruit sweetness.
This LAT56 Gran Toro measures 6 1/2” (165mm) with a 56 ring gauge, offering approximately 80–100 minutes of smooth, medium-to-medium-full bodied smoking.
Our suggestion for cigars of similar strength:
Ideal with aged rum, smooth bourbon, cappuccino, or medium-roast coffee — pairings that complement its cocoa richness, leather depth, and subtle cherry sweetness without overpowering the profile.
